AstraZeneca Settles Idaho's AWP Suit For $2.5M

Law360, New York (August 11, 2011, 9:06 PM EDT) -- The attorney general of Idaho said Thursday he had struck a $2.5 million settlement with AstraZeneca PLC to resolve claims that the company had inflated average wholesale prices and caused the state's Medicaid program to overpay for its drugs.

Idaho Attorney General Lawrence G. Wasden announced the settlement agreement with AstraZeneca LP and AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals LP, putting to rest his claims against the companies in Idaho state court. The state approved the agreement July 25, and AstraZeneca signed it July 27.
