Madonna's Film Co. Resolves 'Twilight' Loan Dispute

Law360, New York (August 12, 2011, 1:28 PM EDT) -- Louisiana investors on Thursday settled their contract suit claiming Madonna's production company Maverick Films LLC owed them hundreds of thousands of dollars and producer credits on loans to finance movies including "Twilight" and "Material Girls."

U.S. District Judge James J. Brady signed off on a motion to dismiss the case after Jay Dykes Jr. and his company, Dykes and Dykes LLC, said the parties had resolved the matter Monday. Both sides agreed to pay their own costs, and the plaintiffs said all judgments in the case — the court entered a $737,000 judgment against Maverick Motion Picture Group LLC in January...
