Isys, Google Resolve 'Chromebook' Trademark Fight

Law360, New York (August 12, 2011, 7:21 PM EDT) -- Isys Technologies Inc. and Google Inc. on Friday settled a trademark dispute in Utah over the technology giant's use of the word “Chromebook,” which Isys claimed would cause confusion regarding its computer hardware trademark “ChromiumPC.”

The parties filed a joint motion to dismiss all claims and counterclaims with prejudice, more than a month after U.S. District Judge Clark Waddoups denied Isys' bid to stop Google and its co-defendants — Amazon.com Inc., Best Buy Co.
