JPMorgan Indemnity Claims Against Ala. County Survive

Law360, New York (August 16, 2011, 6:46 PM EDT) -- A New York state judge ruled Tuesday it was too early to dismiss JPMorgan Chase Bank NA's indemnification claims from two municipal bond insurers' lawsuits over alleged bribes the bank paid officials in embattled Jefferson County, Ala.

The bank wants Jefferson County to pay its legal costs for defending the bond insurers' lawsuits, while the county argued that those claims should only be litigated in a related suit in Alabama.
