Kickback Plot Lands Ex-Aviation Co. Heads Behind Bars

Law360, New York (October 28, 2011, 3:22 PM EDT) -- The former owners of two airline services companies, who admitted to paying kickbacks to win contracts from charter carrier Ryan International Airlines Inc., were sentenced Friday in Florida to 23 months and 16 months in prison.

James E. Murphy and David A. Chaisson each pled guilty in August to one count of wire fraud and one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and honest services fraud for their roles in two plots to pay off a procurement official at Ryan to secure contracts, according to...
