European Ban On Samsung Tablet Sales Lifted, Mostly

Law360, New York (August 16, 2011, 7:13 PM EDT) -- In the latest development in Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. and Apple Inc.'s global patent battle, a German court on Tuesday reportedly modified its injunction barring European Union sales of Samsung's Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet, limiting the ban to Germany alone.

The Higher Regional Court of Dusseldorf temporarily suspended the enforcement of its preliminary injunction in all E.U. countries except Germany until an Aug. 25 hearing, where Samsung will argue for the ban to be fully lifted, according to Dutch technology news website Webwereld.
