Carpenter Settles $11M Cleanup Fight With Ford, Others

Law360, New York (August 17, 2011, 11:54 AM EDT) -- Carpenter Technology Corp. on Tuesday resolved a dispute with Ford Motor Co. and four other plaintiffs who sought $11 million from the specialty alloys maker to cover cleanup costs at a Superfund site in Pennsylvania.

U.S. District Judge Legrome Davis granted a motion by Ford, Agere Systems Inc., Cytec Industries Inc., SPS Technologies LLC and TI Group Automotive Systems LLC to dismiss their suit against Carpenter with prejudice after being notified of the settlement.
