Motorola Sued Over Workers' Chemical Exposure

Law360, New York (August 17, 2011, 6:14 PM EDT) -- Four minors and their parents sued Motorola Solutions Inc. in Illinois state court Tuesday for allegedly exposing the parents to toxic substances while they worked at the company's semiconductor manufacturing facilities, which damaged their reproductive systems and the health of their children.

The complaint alleges Motorola is a responsible party under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act for the "repeated and continuous" releases of hazardous substances that trade and occupational safety organizations have long warned carry dire consequences for exposure.
