Contractor's $2.5B Bid-Rigging Suit Dropped Again

Law360, New York (August 17, 2011, 3:54 PM EDT) -- A federal judge on Tuesday again threw out a Washington contractor's $2.5 billion suit against competitors and city agencies, finding it had no standing to sue over an alleged bid-rigging conspiracy because it would not have won the contracts anyway.

Cheeks of North America Inc. claimed that several competitors orchestrated a bid-rigging conspiracy in order to win city construction contracts.
