Greenberg Reps Ladenburg In $150M Ameriprise Deal

Law360, New York (August 17, 2011, 5:39 PM EDT) -- New York financial services firm Ladenburg Thalmann has agreed to acquire Securities America Financial Corp., a division of Ameriprise Financial Inc., for $150 million, the companies revealed Wednesday.

Ladenburg will pay $150 million in cash, with the potential for additional payments if Securities America clears certain performance goals in 2012 and 2013. The deal still needs approval from regulators but is expected close by the end of the year.
