KVK Accuses Sunrise Of Stealing Employees, Trade Secrets

Law360, New York (August 18, 2011, 8:49 PM EDT) -- Pharmaceutical company KVK-Tech Inc. sued generic-drug maker Sunrise Pharmaceutical Inc. in New Jersey federal court on Wednesday, claiming its rival had induced three former KVK employees to steal trade secrets and join Sunrise.

The plaintiff claims former KVK laboratory manager Ameet Vyas and his assistant Jignesh Gohil funneled its propietary information relating to at least three drugs to Sunrise through a former KVK employee, Bhavsar Guarang. Vyas and Gohil quit the company and joined Sunrise in July, according to the complaint.
