St. Paul Off Hook In Strategix Contract Row

Law360, Chicago (August 19, 2011, 1:59 PM EDT) -- St. Paul Fire & Marine Insurance Co. won its bid Wednesday in California to shake Strategix Ltd.'s allegations that the insurer wrongfully refused to defend and indemnify the recruitment firm in a breach of contract lawsuit over Strategix's sale to Infocrossing West Inc.

U.S. District Judge Gary A. Feess sided with St. Paul's argument that the state court suit against Strategix fell under the breach of contract exclusion in the advertising injury liability provisions of the commercial general liability policy St. Paul issued Strategix.
