Afghan Trucking Co. Can't Halt $983M Army Contract

Law360, New York (August 19, 2011, 4:00 PM EDT) -- A federal judge refused Thursday to issue a temporary restraining order against the awarding of a $983 million U.S. Army trucking contract in Afghanistan, denying a motion by a contractor who is challenging the Army's decision to throw out its bid.

Guzar Mierbachakot Transportation, an Afghanistan-based contractor, filed suit in the U.S Court of Federal Claims on Wednesday asking for a temporary restraining order and a preliminary and permanent injunction against the contract.
