US Seeks To End Vanguard's FEMA Bid Protest

Law360, New York (August 19, 2011, 7:18 PM EDT) -- The federal government, in a motion released Thursday, asked the U.S. Court of Federal Claims to deny Vanguard Recovery Assistance's protest of an award for open-ended post-disaster relief contracts, which Vanguard claims was improperly evaluated in favor of incumbent contractors.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency's evaluations of past performance and cost estimating experience on selected projects completed in the past five years were reasonable and supported by the record, the U.S. government told the court in a cross-motion seeking judgment on the administrative record, filed Aug....
