EPA Rejects Enviros' Bid For Power Plant Permit Review

Law360, New York (August 19, 2011, 5:46 PM EDT) -- A U.S. Environmental Protection Agency board on Thursday denied environmental groups' petitions to review a permit allowing the construction of a 600-megawatt power plant in Avenal, Calif., finding it did not have time for review before a court-ordered deadline to issue or deny the permit.
