Ex-Cabletron Exec Can't Shake SEC Claims

Law360, New York (August 22, 2011, 1:30 PM EDT) -- A New Hampshire federal judge on Friday denied a former Cabletron Systems Inc. executive's bid to escape claims that he was involved in a scheme to artificially inflate earnings at Cabletron and two of its spinoff companies.

U.S. District Judge Steven J. McAuliffe ruled that securities regulators had presented sufficient evidence to allow the claims of aiding and abetting and falsification of books and records against former Cabletron Executive Vice President of Corporate Affairs Eric Jaeger to move forward.
