Ortho-McNeil Denies Birth-Control Patch Claims

Law360, New York (June 12, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Ortho-McNeil Pharmaceutical Co., which faces multidistrict litigation over its popular birth control patch Ortho Evra, has disputed that its patch was at fault for allegedly causing serious illnesses and at least one death.

Ortho-McNeil, along with Johnson & Johnson and its research and development unit, denied the allegations filed in the master complaint in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio on Tuesday.
