Former Exec Accuses Skechers Of Illegal Firing

Law360, New York (August 22, 2011, 4:11 PM EDT) -- A former Skechers U.S.A. Inc. executive sued the footwear titan in California court on Friday, alleging the company wrongfully terminated her, breached an express contract and damaged her career prospects by bad-mouthing her to future employers.

Former vice president of direct marketing and e-commerce Laura E. Christine accused the Manhattan Beach, Calif.-based company, CEO Robert Greenberg and other unnamed individuals of defamation, wrongful termination, breach of express contract, intentional infliction of emotional distress and other charges, according to the suit.
