Internet Security Co. Accused Of Hacking Retailer's Site

Law360, New York (August 22, 2011, 8:12 PM EDT) -- A New York retailer on Friday sued online security company Comodo Group Ltd. for allegedly hacking into its website to test for vulnerability and for breaching the site's terms of use.

MSC Industrial Direct Co. Inc. claims the alleged attacks, which it says continue to this day, cost it at least $500,000 in server downtime. MSC, one of the largest direct marketers of metalworking supplies to industrial customers in the U.S., generates a significant number of its sales through its website, it says.
