BP, Transocean Tangle Over Deepwater Spill Docs

Law360, New York (August 23, 2011, 3:31 PM EDT) -- BP PLC asked a Louisiana federal court Monday to force Transocean Ltd. to turn over hundreds of documents related to its internal investigation of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill, arguing the company has improperly withheld them.

The first trial phase in the multidistrict litigation over last year’s devastating spill is slated for February, and BP and its co-defendants have spent recent months wrangling over evidentiary issues.
