Judge Dismisses Claims In Tyco Securities Suit

Law360, New York (June 12, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- After agreeing to settle a securities class action for a record $3 billion, Tyco International Ltd. and 10 co-defendants have won motions to dismiss a bunch of claims in a parallel lawsuit brought by the state of New Jersey.

The judge presiding over the case in the New Hampshire district court, Paul Barbadoro, dismissed on Monday a slew of counts against the company, its auditors and certain of its executives accused of playing roles in a massive accounting fraud scandal.
