Hells Angels Target Amazon, Others Over T-Shirt Design

Law360, New York (August 24, 2011, 5:00 PM EDT) -- The Hells Angels Motorcycle Corp.'s legal department revved into action Tuesday, filing a suit in California federal court claiming Amazon.com Inc. and several fashion retailers were selling a shirt that infringed the biker club's trademarked symbols.

The complaint says defendant Wildfox Couture LLC, a Hollywood, Calif.-based fashion house, makes a T-shirt — emblazoned with the slogan “My Boyfriend's A Hells Angel” on front and a pair of wings on the back — that infringes the “Hells Angels” word mark and symbols that the club has used...
