Online Jeans Retailer On Hook In Levi Trademark Suit

Law360, New York (August 25, 2011, 7:47 PM EDT) -- A California federal judge on Wednesday refused to toss all but one of the claims in a trademark infringement and unfair competition suit in which Levi Strauss & Co. alleges an online jeans retailer's website infringed its brand name and other trademarks. 

U.S. District Judge Jeffrey White granted in part and denied in part Papikian Enterprises Inc.’s motion for summary judgment in a suit brought by Levi claiming the online retailer’s website infringes numerous trademarks by selling Levi’s jeans without proper authorization.
