Calif. Panel Renews Support For Emissions Cap-And-Trade

Law360, New York (August 25, 2011, 2:59 PM EDT) -- The California Air Resources Board on Wednesday unanimously approved a revised blueprint for implementing the state's landmark climate change bill, ultimately reaffirming its support for a controversial cap-and-trade component.

The board had previously released a revised analysis of cap-and-trade alternatives for its scoping plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, but ultimately stuck with its original recommendation.
