Doral Wins Block Of Shareholders' Claims

Law360 (June 13, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A New York judge has ordered two shareholders to suspend their lawsuits against Puerto Rican mortgage lender Doral Financial Corp. until the court rules on a proposed $129 million settlement with plaintiffs in two securities actions.

The U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York on Tuesday granted a motion by Doral to enforce a preliminary settlement approval order barring the pursuit of parallel claims until final approval of the deal is either granted or denied.
