Calpine Agrees To Shell Out $8M Over Geysers Fire

Law360, New York (August 26, 2011, 4:06 PM EDT) -- Power company Calpine Corp. has agreed to pay $7.9 million to settle claims from Sonoma County, Calif., and private landowners for damages stemming from a 2004 fire that swept across more than 12,000 acres of land near The Geysers geothermal development area.
