Microsoft Wants Lucent Patent Verdict Trimmed To $5M

Law360, New York (August 29, 2011, 2:17 PM EDT) -- Microsoft Corp. argued Friday that Lucent Technologies Inc. used faulty calculation methods in determining that it was entitled to $70 million in damages for infringement of a software patent, and that the damages verdict in the long-running fight should be cut to $5 million.
