Consumer Research Firm Denies Infringement

Law360, New York (June 13, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- M:Metrics Inc. filed a motion for a partial summary judgment of non-infringement Wednesday, saying that Telephia Inc.'s charge that it is infringing a Telephia-held patent for measuring the use and performance of wireless phones is false.

M:Metrics' Meter Client, which collects information for research purposes from wireless phones, does not infringe Telphia's patent, because under the constructions of the patent's claims the court has adopted, the patent discloses how to measure how a wireless network or phone functions, and M:Metrics measures only what is accessed over...
