HP Unit Joins Fight Over $12B VA Contract

Law360, New York (August 30, 2011, 3:34 PM EDT) -- A Hewlett-Packard Co. unit on Monday was allowed to intervene in two suits that accuse the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs of illegally awarding a $12 billion information technology contract to HP and 13 other vendors.

HP Enterprise Services LLC asked to intervene in the two cases, one filed by IBM Corp. and the other by Standard Communications Inc., a service-disabled veteran-owned small business.
