Smelter Operator Cuts Deal In Ill. AG's Lead Suit

Law360, Chicago (August 31, 2011, 3:17 PM EDT) -- Copper smelter operator H. Kramer & Co. has reached a preliminary deal with the Illinois attorney general in a suit alleging the company allows excessive amounts of lead to be emitted from its Chicago facility, an attorney for the defendant said Wednesday.
