Ex-Akamai Employee Cops To Foreign Economic Espionage

Law360, New York (August 30, 2011, 7:17 PM EDT) -- A former employee in Akamai Technologies Inc.'s finance department pled guilty Tuesday to foreign economic espionage for sharing the company's trade secrets with an FBI agent posing as an Israeli intelligence officer.

Elliot Doxer of Brookline, Mass., who entered a plea agreement with the government in July, admitted to passing the content delivery company's confidential information to the undercover agent over a period ranging from October 2007 through March 2009.
