Calif. Water Groups Force Hold On Smelt Protection Plan

Law360, New York (August 31, 2011, 7:36 PM EDT) -- A federal judge on Wednesday granted a bid by six California water authorities and interest groups to block a federal plan to change two water projects to protect the state’s population of delta smelt, saying planned water supply reductions could cause irreparable harm.
