Ex-Galleon Trader Asks For Lenient Sentence

Law360, New York (August 31, 2011, 10:07 PM EDT) -- Former Galleon Group LLC trader Zvi Goffer — convicted in June of insider trading based on tips about mergers — asked a federal judge Wednesday for a sentence lower than the 10 years in prison suggested by federal guidelines, claiming he had matured since committing his crimes.
