Interpublic Hit With Wells Notice From SEC

Law360, New York (June 14, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Interpublic Group of Cos. Inc. said Thursday that it had received a notice of warning from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, indicating legal action may be on the way.

In a press release, Interpublic disclosed that it had received a Wells notice from the SEC over restatements the advertising and marketing services company made in 2002 and 2005. The company now has an opportunity to respond to the SEC in an attempt to avoid civil charges.
