UK Taps Finance, Climate Experts For Green Bank

Law360, New York (September 1, 2011, 3:55 PM EDT) -- The British government on Wednesday tapped a former World Bank economist and executives from Citigroup Inc. and Shell U.K. Ltd. to serve on an advisory panel for a planned public bank that will support low-carbon infrastructure projects.

The appointments mark a major strategic step in the development of the U.K.’s Green Investment Bank, which will launch this year with the goal of helping to reduce carbon emissions through investment in the green economy.
