Fired Engineer Drops Some Claims Against Chevron

Law360 (June 14, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A petroleum engineer who sued Chevron Corp. after she was fired while on medical leave has asked a court to toss her claims alleging gender and race discrimination.

Kiran Pande requested that the court scrap her gender and race bias allegations against the energy company in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California on Thursday, and agreed not to seek damages for emotional distress in the case.
