ConAgra Hit With Bad Peanut Butter Class Actions

Law360, New York (June 15, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Food retail giant ConAgra Foods Inc. has been hit with at least three proposed class actions by people who became ill after eating salmonella-contaminated Peter Pan Peanut Butter.

The latest lawsuit against the company was lodged on Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana by the family of a child who was hospitalized after eating the peanut butter, one of more than 300 people across the country who became sick from it.
