Fired Winston & Strawn Paralegal Drops Race Bias Suit

Law360, New York (September 6, 2011, 3:13 PM EDT) -- A former Chicago paralegal who claimed Winston & Strawn LLP fired her because she was black dropped her discrimination case against the firm Tuesday.

Attorneys for Latishia Fantozzi and Winston filed a joint motion asking U.S. District Judge John W. Darrah to dismiss the nine-month-old case. Fantozzi claimed that Winston used a problem with her billing as a pretext to fire her after she complained about her superiors' alleged racism.
