Judge Bounces Bextra, Celebrex Claims

Law360, New York (June 15, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The judge overseeing the massive marketing, sales practices and products liability litigation over anti-inflammatory pain medications Celebrex and Bextra has dismissed a slew of claims.

On Wednesday, U.S. District Judge Charles R. Breyer excised a score of suits from the multidistrict, antitrust litigation currently playing out in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. Some plaintiffs voluntarily withdrew their suits while others did not meet the specified criteria necessary to move forward with their allegations.
