DuPont To Pay For Tree Damage Caused By Herbicide

Law360, New York (September 7, 2011, 2:39 PM EDT) -- DuPont Co. announced Tuesday that it has begun a program to compensate property owners whose trees have been damaged by the now-recalled herbicide Imprelis, which requires participants to waive their right to participate in lawsuits over the product.

Under the compensation program, DuPont said it will pay to remove and dispose of trees that have been damaged by Imprelis and will provide replacement trees. The new trees will come with a two-year warranty, and care for them will be included as part of the compensation....
