Former DOJ Inspector General Joins Dechert

Law360, New York (September 8, 2011, 2:00 PM EDT) -- Dechert LLP announced Thursday that former U.S. Department of Justice Inspector General Glenn Fine had joined the firm as a partner in its white collar and securities practice group in Washington.

Fine served as the DOJ's inspector general from December 2000 to January, earning a reputation as one of Washington's most prominent watchdogs. He led high-profile probes into politically motivated hiring decisions at the department and examined the DOJ's use of expanded surveillance powers after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
