Lawyer's Fee Bid In FedEx Employment Case Denied

Law360 (June 15, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The court-appointed special master in two employment discrimination cases against FedEx Corp. has ruled a motion for fees by a fired lawyer was filed too late, and that her reasons for the tardiness were weak.

In his decision handed down in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, special master Edward Swanson said lawyer Kay McKenzie Parker had missed the deadline for filing for fees by more than two weeks by her own neglect.
