Obama Sends Congress Deficit-Neutral $447B Jobs Bill

Law360, New York (September 12, 2011, 10:41 PM EDT) -- President Barack Obama on Monday sent Congress a $447 billion bill to create jobs through a combination of tax breaks and domestically-sourced infrastructure projects that will be funded through a tax increase on America's highest earners and a rollback of oil and gas subsidies.

Obama unveiled the American Jobs Act before a joint session of Congress on Thursday, but the legislation sent to Congress fleshes out the details of his jobs package.
