Hacker Steals 40K Credit Cards' Info From Vending Co.

Law360, New York (September 13, 2011, 5:12 PM EDT) -- Vacationland Vendors Inc. said Monday that a cyberattack had compromised 40,000 credit and debit cards used during a nearly 2 1/2-year period on vending machines it supplied to resorts in Wisconsin and Tennessee.

At risk are consumers who swiped their credit or debit cards to use the company's vending machines at the Wilderness Waterpark Resort near Wisconsin Dells, Wisc., or the Wilderness at the Smokies in Sevierville, Tenn., between Dec. 12, 2008 and May 25, according to Vacationland.
