Law360, New York (September 16, 2011, 2:22 PM EDT) -- A California appeals court ruled Thursday that manufacturers of a defectively designed product can't seek equitable indemnity against a retailer whose fault is based only on its sale of the product, refusing to revive a Safeway Inc. employee's suit.
