Oil Recycler Sued Over Texas Facility's Cleanup Costs

Law360, New York (September 19, 2011, 5:01 PM EDT) -- A group of companies sued U.S. Oil Recovery LP and its Chief Operating Officer Klaus Genssler on Monday, claiming the company broke its waste disposal contract and owes coverage of cleanup costs for a Pasadena, Texas, facility.

The defendants accepted oil and other hazardous chemicals from the plaintiffs — U.S. Oil Recovery Site PRP Group, Safety-Kleen Systems Inc. and MEMC Pasadena Inc. — ostensibly for recycling, but failed to properly store, contain or process those wastes, according to the suit.
