Law360, New York (September 19, 2011, 8:16 PM EDT) -- A Louisiana federal judge on Monday stayed insurer Continental Casualty Co.'s lawsuit against Gauthier Houghtaling & Williams LLP and actor Stephen Baldwin, ruling continued litigation could interfere with the parties' ongoing state lawsuits over a joint venture involving oil cleanup technology.
Continental brought the suit in June, claiming it should not have to pay to defend Gauthier in a suit filed in state court by Baldwin and co-defendant Spyridon Contogouris.
