Former Texas Judge Still On Hook For Sexual Harassment

Law360, New York (September 21, 2011, 3:04 PM EDT) -- A Texas federal judge on Friday refused to overturn a jury verdict that found a former Texas state judge had sexually harassed three female employees and attempted to have them fired when they complained.

U.S. District Judge Kenneth M. Hoyt said he was unconvinced by the argument of former Brazoria County, Texas, Judge James Blackstock, who sought to have the verdict overruled on the grounds that the women failed to present sufficient evidence of sexual harassment at trial.
