ITC Launches Probe Of Japanese Steel Sheet Duties

Law360, New York (September 21, 2011, 3:12 PM EDT) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission announced Wednesday that it would conduct a full sunset review into whether revoking anti-dumping duties on tin- and chromium-coated steel sheet imported from Japan would lead to a recurrence of harm to U.S. businesses.

The ITC voted Sept. 6 to conduct a full five-year sunset review of the duties, according to a Federal Register notice published Wednesday. All six ITC commissioners concluded that the responses from domestic producers and Japanese importers were adequate and voted for a full review, according to...
