9th Circ. Clarifies 'Scandalous' In Discovery Row

Law360, New York (September 21, 2011, 9:41 PM EDT) -- The Ninth Circuit on Wednesday decided that a party attempting to prevent discovery documents in a bankruptcy case from being disclosed must establish that the information is "scandalous" under the word's common meaning, a ruling that protects the name of a priest accused of sexual abuse.
